The 2025 NFL Draft is officially one month away.
And while much of the discourse for the Browns has centered around the No. 2 overall pick, Cleveland also holds the 33rd pick in the draft the first of the second round. With Round 2 kicking off the second day of the draft, the Browns have an opportunity to re-evaluate who is available after seeing how the remainder of the first round shakes out.
The Browns have used their second-round picks to make key additions to the roster and played important roles on both sides of the ball in years past. They last held the No. 33 pick in the second round in the 2018 NFL Draft, which they used to select C Austin Corbett. However, just two picks later, they also selected RB Nick Chubb with the 35th pick. Cleveland also chose G Joel Bitonio with the 35th pick in the 2014 draft, S Grant Delpit with the 44th pick in the 2020 draft and LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah with the 52nd pick in the 2021 draft all in their respective second rounds.
The No. 33 pick has also garnered success from teams around the league who have held that pick in recent years. Let's take a look at five of the most recent selections at No. 33.
2024: WR Keon Coleman, Bills
In his rookie season, Coleman was the Bills' second-highest pass catcher with 556 receiving yards. He dealt with a wrist injury that caused him to miss four games, but over 13 regular season games, Coleman totaled 29 receptions for 556 yards and four touchdowns. His involvement dipped during the Bills' postseason run, as he had three receptions for 22 receiving yards in three playoff games, but has a chance to continue growing in Buffalo's receiving corps.
2023: QB Wil Levis, Titans
In his first two seasons with the Titans, Levis has battled up and down performances and overall team record. During his rookie season in 2023, Tennessee finished 6-11, and Levis completed149 of 255 passing attempts for 1,808 yards and eight touchdowns over nine games played. He threw four interceptions and was sacked 28 times. Yet, the Titans' struggles continued in 2024, as they finished the season with a 3-14 season. Levis played 12 games in which he completed 190 of 301 passing attempts for 2,091 yards and 13 touchdowns. Yet, he threw 12 interceptions and was sacked 41 times.
2022: DE Logan Hall, Buccaneers
Hall has used his first three seasons with the Buccaneers to become acclimated with Tampa's system and establish himself as a player who can help create push in the pocket and use his athleticism to his advantage. Hall totaled 5.5 sacks during the 2024, which ranked third on the team and set a career high. In three seasons, Hall has recorded 62 tackles, 8.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries and three passes defensed.
2021: CB Tyson Campbell, Jaguars
Campbell established himself as a starting-caliber cornerback from his rookie season, as he has started 54 of his 55 games played. In four seasons with Jacksonville, Campbell has recorded 283 tackles, 36 passes defensed, six interceptions and two forced fumbles. As he became an integral part of the Jaguars defense, he earned a 4-year contract extension in 2024 that lasts through the 2028 season.
2020: WR Tee Higgins, Bengals
One of the biggest successes to come out of the 33rd pick is in Higgins, as he re-signed with the Bengals on a four-year contract that runs through the 2028 season. In five seasons, Higgins has played in 70 career regular-season games with 62 starts for Cincinnati and caught 330 passes for 4,595 yards and 34 touchdowns. His touchdown receptions rank tied for 14th in the NFL since he entered the league in 2020, and his receiving yardage ranks 18th in the league.
