The Chargers are views as a fringe Top-10 team on the heels of a solid free agency period

With the bulk of free agency complete and the 2025 NFL Draft still a month away, news around the NFL has quieted down in recent days.
In other words, it's the perfect time for offseason power rankings.
The Chargers remained steady compared to where they were after the 2024 season despite the team addingimpact playerssuch as Mekhi Becton and Najee Harris.
Fox Sports' David Helman ranked the Bolts at No. 10 in hispower rankings, as he was a big fan of those pair of moves.
Helman wrote:
Love the Mekhi Becton signing, love putting Najee Harris in a Greg Roman offense.
The Chargers also brought back a number of internal free agents who had big roles in last season's run to the playoffs as well.
That included the likes of Elijah Molden and Teair Tart among others, who either held starting roles or stepped up with high-level play at various points throughout the year.
ESPN slotted the Chargers at No. 11 in their power rankings, as Kris Rhim tabbed the re-signing of Molden as the team's mostunder-the-radarmove of the offseason.
Rhim wrote:
Molden was the most underrated player on the Chargers defense in 2024; he was second among defensive backs in tackles (72) and interceptions (three). However, perhaps the most critical aspect of his role was his emergence at deep safety. This allowed Los Angeles to move safety Derwin James Jr. to the nickel cornerback spot, which resulted in an All-Pro season. With Molden back, expect another league-best season for James and the Chargers' defense.
The offseason and addition of players is far from over, especially with the draft just a month away.
Pro Football Focus'Mason Cameronand NFL.com'sEric Edholmboth ranked the Chargers at No. 13, as they believe adding another weapon, whether through the draft or free agency, will go a long way to compliment the moves they have already made.
Cameron wrote:
They did retain Khalil Mack, who ranked as the NFL's sixth-highest-graded edge defender in 2024.
While Jim Harbaugh's teams often take an unconventional path, L.A.'s offensive additions were underwhelming, headlined by Najee Harris and Mike Williams. Justin Herbert carried the offense last season despite limited weapons, but a lack of playmakers beyond Ladd McConkey could remain an issue in 2025.
