Broncos re-sign FB Mike Burton

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.A veteran contributor is back with the Broncos.

Denver has re-signed fullback Mike Burton, the team announced Wednesday.

Burton has appeared in all 34 of the Broncos' regular-season games over the last two years, and he has made an impact on both offense and special teams.

In 2024, Burton played 16 percent of the Broncos' offensive snaps while also playing 62 percent of Denver's special teams snaps.

Entering his 11th season, Burton has appeared in 147 career games and started 22 contests. He has recorded 42 career carries and 31 career receptions with a combined four touchdowns.

The Lions selected Burton in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft and he spent the first two seasons of his career there before stints with the Bears (2017-18), Commanders (2019), Saints (2020) and Chiefs (2021-22).

Burton is the latest player to re-sign with the Broncos, who also retained defensive tackle D.J. Jones, quarterback Jarrett Stidham, long snapper Mitchell Fraboni, tackle Matt Peart and inside linebacker Justin Strnad.
