We continue with the tight end position.

Why it's likely viewed by analysts as a position of need

The only attrition this group experienced was the departure of Hunter Long, who signed with the Jaguars in free agency. However, Tyler Higbee and Colby Parkinson are both potentially entering contract years in 2025, given 2026 represents a void year in each their deals according to OvertheCap.com.

Additionally, when Higbee got healthy last season, the Rams had four tight ends on their 53-man roster. If they are looking to do so again, adding one via the draft would help re-establish that depth and plan for the future.

Michigan'sColston Lovelandcomes up often in mock drafts at No. 26 overall.

Outside of the first round, Bleacher Report's scouting department projected Oregon's Terrance Fergusonat No. 101 overall in the third round.The Athletic's Dane Brugler has Los Angeles taking Texas Tech's Jalin Conyers at No. 201 overall in the sixth roundin his full seven-round mock draft.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah has Loveland at No. 7 in his most recent overall Top 50 prospect rankings, which would put him as the No. 2 tight end behind Penn State's Tyler Warren.
