With the 2025 NFL Draft just days away, Steelers.com is taking you inside the preparation as the team prepares to welcome a new draft class.

The upcoming episode of 'The Standard: Defining a Steeler' will hit Steelers.com and all of the team's digital and social platforms on Wednesday, April 23 at 7 p.m.

The Standard helps to define what the team is looking for when it comes to the players they select in the NFL Draft, as well as through free agency, and highlights the legacy of players throughout the years who truly defined what it means to be a Steeler.

"Pittsburgh Steelers are guys that football is important to," shared General Manager Omar Khan. "To be a Steeler requires someone who has a desire to be great and to win championships."

The episode features interviews with General Manager Omar Khan, Assistant General Manager Andy Weidl, Director of College Scouting Dan Colbert, scouting coordinator Casey Weidl and college scout Jim Ward.

The Standard takes you through the offseason process which starts with the Senior Bowl, where Coach Mike Tomlin is often seen on the field using his unique ability to gather 'nuggets' on players.

It continues with the NFL Combine, with an inside look of how the team evaluates on-field performance as well as a look at College Pro Days.

The Standard also highlights the Weidl brothers and the unique relationship with both of them working for the Steelers, while a third brother, Kevin, works for the Baltimore Ravens. The feature highlights them growing up in Pittsburgh and what it would mean to bring a championship to the team they grew up watching.

In addition, the offseason isn't the offseason without free agency, and The Standard features interviews with two players who fit the Steeler mold, receiver DK Metcalf and cornerback Darius Slay.
