The New York Giants wrapped up their first week of organized team activities (OTAs) on Friday, holding their third of 10 such practices at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center before minicamp in mid-June.
Here are the highlights from the OTA No. 3:
Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, the 25th pick in the draft, threw two touchdowns during the first team period in the red zone. The first was on a nice move by wide receiver Beaux Collins, an undrafted rookie from Notre Dame who was able to walk into the end zone. Lil'Jordan Humphrey, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound veteran wide receiver, grabbed the other.
Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. ran for a touchdown during a situational period, which Russell Wilson followed up with a successful two-point conversion on a pass to wide receiver Zach Pascal. Wilson and Pascal later connected for a touchdown.
The big blue coolers on wheels at practice aren't just for holding water and Gatorade on the sideline anymore. There is now a wooden, two-foot-long and one-foot-high treasure chest perched on top of one.
The only time it gets unlocked is when the defense forces a turnover, and new defensive assistant Grant Morgan appears to be the prop's captain. He ran over to grab it again Friday when Paulson Adebo leaped for an interception in a team red-zone period, high-pointing the ball in the end zone on an attempted fade pass to the right side.
The treasure chest was christened at Wednesday's practice with interceptions from safety Dane Belton and linebacker Micah McFadden.
Adebo, one of the big offseason signings, is coming off a broken femur, which spoiled a 2024 campaign in which he had three interceptions in seven starts for the Saints. Seven months later, he is back to participating in practice and "moving well," according to coach Brian Daboll.
Shortly after Adebo's interception, linebacker Bobby Okereke broke up a pass in the middle of the field at the goal line to the delight of Daboll. "Smell blood, go get another," the head coach shouted to the defense.
The Giants have two players currently wearing No. 25, and both have shown their speed in getting to the edge on either side of the line of scrimmage. Running back Dante Miller (blue No. 25) once again lived up to his "Turbo" nickname on a pitch, and rookie cornerback Korie Black (white No. 25) sniffed out another play.
Former Cowboy Chauncey Golston, a 6-foot-5, 277-pound chess piece for the defensive front, had two would-be sacks.
Art Green flashed throughout the practice and broke up a handful of passes, as did fellow defensive backs Tre Hawkins III, Dru Phillips and Raheem Layne. Linebacker Chris Board also got in on the action on a pass deflection.
June 2-3, June 5, June 9-10, June 12-13, June 17-19 (minicamp)
