CHARLOTTE The latest results from the Panthers very important and legally binding uniform bracket challenge are available, and after a first round that included a couple of upsets, this round went chalk on three out of the four matchups.

The Panthers own version of March Madness, or maybe it's April Madness now, had the elite eight of uniforms face off. The black or blue fits edged out a win in each matchup, with the black helmet appearing twice in a win, and the silver helmet appearing in the other two. Three color rush alternates won in the round.

Speaking of alternates,the NFL announced this weekat the annual league meeting that clubs would now be allowed to wear alternate and/or throwback uniforms four times a year. Previously clubs were only allowed three alternates in a season.

This past season, the Panthers wore their alternates in: Week 6 at home against the Falcons, with a black helmet, blue top and pants, with black socks; Week 10 in Germany against the Giants, with the black helmet, blue top, black pants and black socks; then again in Week 12 versus the Chiefs, with the clean all-black look.

Despite two hotly contested matches in the round, the No. 1 overall seed is still holding strong. In addition to you, the fans, Panthers players and legends will continue to weigh in on this subject close to their heart in the coming weeks.
